Motor Problem
Motor overheats or stalls
Possible Cause(s)
Excessive feed rate when
crosscutting or ripping
Improper motor cooling
Undersized extension cord
Inadequate house wiring
What to Do
Slow rate of feed
Clean out sawdust from
motor to allow normal air
circulation
Check wire gauge chart in
Electrical Connections
Call your electrician
Blown fuses or tripped
circuit breakers
Need 15 amp circuit
Motor overload
Low voltage
Check that house has ade-
quate wiring. Call your
electrician
Check blade alignment
Slow rate of feed
Check voltage. Normal
loads can be safely handled
at 10% above or below
nameplate voltage; heavy
loads need same voltage at
motor terminal as on
nameplate
Cutting Problem
Inaccurate cut
Possible Cause(s)
Loose locks
Saw blade out of alignment
