Description
User
Identifies the name of the user.
Session Timeout
Shows the number of seconds a user is permitted to remain connected to the network. Once the
Session Timeout value is reached, the user is logged out automatically. A value of 0 means that
the user does not have a Session Timeout limit.
Idle Timeout
Shows the number of seconds the user can remain idle before the switch automatically logs the
user out. A value of 0 means that the user will not be logged out automatically.
To access the configuration page for a specific user listed on the page, click the user name.
The following buttons are available at the bottom of the Local User table:

Add: Click Add to add a new user to the Local User database.
•
Delete: Select the check box next to the user to remove and click Delete. Select multiple check boxes to delete more
than one user at a time.
•
Delete All: Click Delete All to remove all configured users from the local database.
•
Refresh: Click Refresh to update the page with the most current information.
Adding a Local User
When you click Add from the Local User Summary page, the screen refreshes, and you can add a new user to the Local
User database. To configure additional parameters for the new user, return to the Local User Summary page and click the
name of the new user. The captive portal Global Status page displays the maximum number of users the Local User
database supports.
The following table describes the fields available when you add a new user to the local CP database. After you complete the
fields, click Add to add the user and return to the Local User Summary page.
