8. Left rear cover
1) Open the delivery cover.
2) Remove the video controller PCB unit
following the procedure on page 3-32.
3) Remove the 3 screws and the left rear
cover.

B. Fans
1. Summary
There are 4 fan motors installed to circulate
air within the printer and prevent the
internal temperature from rising.
• Fixing unit/scanner unit fan (FM1):
Blows air from the fixing unit and the
scanner unit vicinity.
• Power supply fan (FM2):
Blows air from the power supply.
• Electrical unit fan (FM3):
Intake fan for the video controller unit.
• Fixing unit fan (FM4):
Blows air from the fixing unit vicinity.
