The Memory Card to which the files are copied must have at least 3.5 MB of free space to use
the Programming Console functions on the C-series or CJ/CS-series PLCs.
2. Turn OFF the power supply to the PT and mount the above Memory Card into the Memory Card
connector on the side of the PT.

Always stop Memory Card operations on the PT before inserting or removing the Memory Card.
Always check system safety before turning the power supply ON or OFF or pressing the reset
switch.
Do not turn OFF the PT power or remove the Memory Card while the Memory Card is being
accessed.

There are two ways to start the Programming Console function.
1. Select Special Function – PROCON from the System Menu's Special Screen Tab Page.
2. From the user screen, write 4037 BCD (FC5 binary) or 4038 BCD (FC6 binary) to $SW0.

Programming Console functions are built into the NS12, NS10, and NS8-V2 with system version
5.6 or higher and the NS5-@@1@-V2 or the NS15.
The Programming Console function's operations are the same as the Programming Console's opera-
tions.

Check system safety before performing the following operations using the Programming Con-
sole functions.
Changing Monitor data
Changing operating modes
Force ON or Force OFF
Changing present values or set values
Starting from the System Menu
1. Press two of the four corners of the PT touch panel simultaneously. (For the NS15, press any cor-
ner twice.)
2. The System Menu's Special Screen Tab Page will be displayed.
3. The Special Functions list will display the "Procon (C)" option for C-series and SRM1 PLCs with a
1:1 NT Link and the "Procon (CS)" option for CS/CJ-series PLCs with a 1:N NT Link. Touch the
appropriate option to select it and then press the Start Button.
