To lubricate the link rod
1. There are 2 grease nipples, one on each side of the
link rod. Lubricate with a grease gun until grease
comes out.
Remote control
For instructions for P 524XR EFI, refer to
on page 43 .
To disconnect the cable for the remote control
mode actuator
WARNING:
with the cable for the remote control mode
actuator disengaged longer than necessary.
Contact your Husqvarna servicing dealer
if the switch for the remote mode is
damaged. If the switch for the remote
mode is damaged, disconnect the cable to
the remote mode actuator to operate the
product in manual mode.
1. Apply the parking brake on the product.
2. Stop the engine.
3. Fold the operator seat forward.
4. Remove the protection plate below the seat.

5. Disconnect the cable for the remote control mode
actuator (A) from the spring (B).
To clean the remote control
• Clean the remote control regularly.
• Clean the outer parts of the remote control with a
moist cloth.
• Do not use sharp or pointed objects to clean with.
• Do not use solvents or flammable/corrosive
materials for cleaning.
• Do a check of the rubber bellows and rubber seals
of the controls, switches and buttons for damage.
Replace all broken rubber bellows and/or rubber
seals.
CAUTION:
pressure washer to clean the remote
control.
To clean the remote control battery and the
battery charger
CAUTION:
the battery charger with water.
• Make sure that the battery and the battery charger
are clean and dry before you connect the battery to
the battery charger.
• Clean the terminals on the battery with compressed
air or a soft and dry cloth.
• Clean the surfaces of the battery and the battery
charger with a soft and dry cloth.
Remote control battery
The remote control has 1 battery slot. The battery has a
state of charge symbol on the information center display,
Status of the battery charger on page 79 and
refer to
Information center display on page 42 . It is not possible
to operate the remote control if the state of charge of
the remote control battery is too low. Charge the battery
when the information center display shows low battery
of the remote control. Refer to
on page 42 and To charge the remote control battery
with the battery charger on page 70 .
The operation time for a fully charged remote control
battery is approximately 10-12 hours.
