3. Remove the screws from the hinges.
4. Fold the engine cover rearward.
5. Install in opposite sequence.
To remove the front cover
1. Release the clip on the front cover with the tool
attached to the ignition key.
2. Remove the front cover.
To remove the cutting deck covers (R137,
137X)
1. Set the cutting height to the lowest position. Refer
To adjust the cutting height (C112, C122, R137)
to
on page 32 or To adjust the cutting height (C112X,
C122X, R137X) on page 33 .

2. Remove the 6 screws on the side covers of the
cutting deck.
3. Remove the side covers of the cutting deck.
4. Install in opposite sequence.
To remove the right side cover
1. Remove the 4 screws and remove the side cover.
To remove the cover of the control box
1. Turn the 3 screws ¼ turn counterclockwise and
remove the cover.
To remove and install the right footrest plate
1. Remove the rearward drive pedal.
