Prerequisites
Never remove the heat sink from a processor unless you intend to replace the processor or heat sink. The heat sink is necessary
to maintain proper thermal conditions.

Steps
1. If you are using an existing heat sink, remove the thermal grease from the heat sink by using a clean lint-free cloth.
2. Use the thermal grease syringe included with your processor kit to apply the grease in a quadrilateral design on the top of
the processor.
CAUTION:
Applying too much thermal grease can result in excess grease coming in contact with and
contaminating the processor socket.
NOTE:
The thermal grease syringe is intended for single use only. Dispose the syringe after you use it.

3. Align the cut-off on the heat sink to the triangle system board, and then place the heat sink module on the processor socket.
CAUTION:
To avoid damaging the fins on the heat sink, do not press down on the heat sink fins.
NOTE:
Ensure that the heatsink is held parallel to the system board to prevent damaging the components.
4. Using a screwdriver, tighten the screws in the following order to secure the heat sink to the system board.
a. Tighten the first screw three turns.
b. Tighten the rest of the screws in the order numbered.
5. Return to the first screw to tighten it.
