SETTING
MIRRORS
Adjusting the mirrors
Move mirror into desired po-
sition by applying light pres-
sure at edge.
If the adjustment range of
the mirror is insufficient
for correct alignment, the posi-
tion of the mirror arm must be
adapted.
Adjusting the mirror arm
Slide the protective cap 1 up
over the threaded connection
on the mirror arm.
Unscrew nut 2 with suitable
tool.
Turn the mirror arm into the
desired position.
Tighten the nut 2 to the spec-
ified torque while holding the
mirror arm in place.
Left mirror (lock nut) to
adapter
M10
16 lb/ft (22 Nm) (Left-hand
thread)
Slide the protective cap 1
over the threaded connection.
HEADLIGHTS
Headlight range and spring
preload
The headlight range gener-
ally remains constant due to
the adjustment of the spring
preload to the load status.
If you are not sure about the
correct headlight range setting,
contact a BMW Motorrad part-
ner.
