1 Locate the malfunction.
2 Connection of meter assem-
bly coupler.
Check the locking condition
of the coupler.
Disconnect the coupler and
check the pins (bent or bro-
ken terminals and locking
condition of the pins).
3 Wire harness continuity.
4 Defective meter assembly.
5 Malfunction in ECU.
Err (multi-function meter center display)
Abnormal meter assembly communication (meter assembly
cannot receive CAN communication data).
Check the engine trouble
warning light and electroni-
cally adjustable suspension
system warning light.
• All of the lights come on →
Go to item 2.
• Only the engine trouble
warning light comes on →
Go to "Abnormal ECU com-
munication".
• Only the electronically ad-
justable suspension system
warning light comes on →
Go to "Abnormal SCU com-
munication".
Improperly connected →
Connect the coupler secure-
ly or replace the wire har-
ness.
Open or short circuit → Re-
place the wire harness.
• Between meter assembly
coupler and joint coupler.
blue/black–blue/black
blue/red–blue/red
• Between joint coupler and
ECU coupler.
blue/black–blue/black

• Between joint coupler and
SCU coupler.

Replace the meter assembly. Turn the main switch to "ON".
Replace the ECU.
