Saving the Network Wide Backup & Restore
configuration data
This procedure describes how to save the Network Wide Backup & Restore
configuration data which allows the user to reuse configuration data during a
new installation.
Requirements
Read this requirements section and the entire procedure through once before
starting the procedure.

Ensure that all controllers in the Backup & Restore user interface are in the
idle state
Action
Log in to the INM workstation as root.
Start the Backup & Restore administration script. Enter
cd /opt/nortel/inmbr
Open the Backup & Restore administration menu. Enter
./br_admin
To save the configuration data, use menu option 1. Enter
1
A message prompts you to specify a .tar file.
Specify a file name or press
(/tmp/inmbr_config.tar).
If there is no existing file, the save proceeds immediately.
If there is an existing file, a message prompts you for confirmation to overwrite
an existing file.
To proceed with the save operation and overwrite the file, enter
yes
A message notifies you that the configuration data has been successfully
saved.
