Action
In step 13, if you select not to use the current run-time configuration, a
message prompts you to confirm that you do not want to re-use a previously
saved run-time configuration.
Note: Run-time configuration of a load can be saved in a file so that a new
installation can re-use it.
The file may be created by step 13, or it may be created by running Backup
& Restore administration tool br_admin (refer to Procedure 2-3).
If you wish to re-use a previously saved configuration, enter
yes
You will then be prompted to type in the name of a previously saved
configuration tarred file.
The default file name is: /tmp/inmbr_config.tar
If you want to use the default directory, press
Return
If you do not want to re-use any previously saved configuration (this will be a
fresh installation), enter
no
A message shows you the details of the new installation and asks for your
confirmation. To proceed with the installation, enter
yes
A message notifies you that the files are being extracted from CD-ROM. File
extraction may take some time.
A message notifies you when the installation completes successfully.
Note: If you receive a message about software not installed, review the
requirements for installing the Network Wide Backup & Restore application.
When the installation script has finished, the system returns to the UNIX
prompt.
Check that the installation was successful by logging in to the GNB and
ensuring that Network Wide Backup & Restore menus are available.
To unmount the CD-ROM, enter
umount /cdrom
To remove the CD-ROM directory, enter
rmdir /cdrom
To remove the installation files directory, enter
cd /tmp
rm -rf /tmp/br_install
