Instant Internet 400-S hardware installation

This chapter helps you get to know your Instant Internet unit, and provides
instructions for connecting your unit to your LAN and WAN according to the type
of connection you are using and for mounting the unit in a rack.
Before you install the Instant Internet hardware, make sure that you are familiar
with the physical and environmental specifications of the Instant Internet 400-S

Getting to know your Instant Internet 400-S unit

The front panel of your Instant Internet 400-S unit has the following indicators
and connections:

A seven-port autosensing, autonegotiating Ethernet switch provides a means
for connecting to your network and enables you to eliminate an extra switch
or hub on your LAN. Each port adapts to the correct network speed (10 Mb/s
