Overview of the MBUX rear tablet

The vehicle's multimedia system can be operated
with the MBUX rear tablet. Operation of the tablet
is carried out using the touchscreen (see the
manufacturer's operating instructions).
The MBUX rear tablet can also be used without
the vehicle.

Do not make any changes to the seat settings
or multimedia system with the MBUX rear tab-
let when outside the vehicle.
Updating the software of the MBUX rear tablet
Requirements:
The MBUX rear tablet is configured via the
R
assistant (Android).
A Wi-Fi hotspot with unrestricted or sufficient
R
data volume is available.

Software updates can vary in size and thus
lead to additional costs for limited data vol-
umes. Therefore, make sure that you are con-
nected to a Wi-Fi hotspot that has unlimited
or sufficient data volume, e.g. the private net-
work at home.

The use of the vehicle data tariff by external
devices is not available in all countries.
Quit the MBUX app.

Open the system settings of the MBUX rear

tablet (Android).

In the system settings (Android) you will find
among other things the settings for Wi-Fi and
software updates.
Connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot.

The MBUX rear tablet is connected to the Wi-
Fi.
Search for software updates.

Start the software update manually.
#
The MBUX rear tablet is up to date.

You can also have the software of your MBUX
rear tablet updated at a Mercedes-Benz
service centre.
