Current vehicle position
There are three phases when changing direction:
Preparation phase

If there is enough time between the changes
of direction, the multimedia system prepares
you for the upcoming change of direction. A
navigation announcement is issued, e.g. "Pre-
pare to turn right".
The navigation window shows: the direction
information or the name of the road which is
to be turned into as well as the distance to the
change of direction.
Announcement phase
R
The multimedia system announces the upcom-
ing change of direction, e.g. by announcing
"Turn right in 300 m".
When the Auto zoom map orientation is
switched off ( page 535), a detailed repre-

sentation of the junction or a 3D image of the
upcoming change in direction appears in the
navigation window.

The multimedia system announces the immi-
nent change of direction, e.g. by announcing
"Now turn right".
