Check and Adjust the Engine
RPM - GS-69 RT, GS-84, GS-90
Engine specifications require that this procedure
be performed quarterly.
Maintaining the engine rpm at the proper setting
for both low and high idle is essential to good
engine performance and service life. The machine
will not operate properly if the rpm is incorrect and
continued use may cause component damage.
Note: The on-board self diagnostics incorporate a
built-in engine tachometer. The first two digits of
the engine RPM are displayed on the diagnostic
display when the start toggle switch is moved to
the start position with the engine running. Engine
RPM equals the first two digits multiplied by 100.
Note: These procedures do not apply to the
following engine models. The engine RPM is
controlled by the ECM and can only be adjusted
by re-programming the ECM. If RPM or service is
required, please contact Genie Product Support.
Ford Models: MSG-425 EFI
Deutz Models: D 2.9 L4
Note: Some procedures may require two people.
Note: For engine RPM information refer to
Specifications, Engine Specifications for your
engine model.
