7.Profibus PROFILES—PPO Non Support Specification
The option unit operates as a "slave of the Profibus DP master" or a "controller equivalent to Profibus DP
master class 1 on an RS-485 network".
The Profibus profile (data buffer) can be selected from among six different types, "PPO type 1" to "PPO
type 5", "E5NP". This chapter expalins the Module type "E5NP" profile. For the Module type "PPO type 1"
to "PPO type 5" profiles, refer to page 34. Module type is changed with the slave module setting. For
details, refer to the instruction manual of the Network Master Configuration Software.
