Replacing the image drum

When "ORDER IMAGE DRUM" is displayed on the display of the operator panel, prepare a
replacement image drum.
If "IMAGE DRUM LIFE" is displayed, please replace the image drum.
Please replace the toner cartridge together with the image drum.
The guideline for replacing the image drum is approximately 25,000 sheets when printing on
216 mm x 58 mm paper one sheet at a time.
• Since the image drum life may be influenced by the temperature, humidity, paper type and printing density, the
actual print count may be halved depending on the printing conditions.
• The printing quality will decline after the image drum stays unpacked for one year or longer. Please replace the
image drum with a new one.
• When you replace a toner cartridge/image drum in use, the toner usage will not be calculated accurately.
• If [ADMIN SETUP] - [PANEL SETUP] - [NEARLIFE STATUS] is set to [DISABLE], the system will not show the
message "ORDER IMAGE DRUM".
• Please use genuine OKI consumables for optimum performance.
• Failures caused by using non-genuine consumables may void the warranty or maintenance contract. (The use of
non-genuine consumables will not necessarily cause failures, but please fully take notice of such usage.)
• Because the image drum (i.e. the glossy cylinder) can easily get damaged, handle with adequate care.
• Do not expose the image drum to direct sunlight or strong light (approx. 1,500 lux or above). Do not leave it
uncovered for more than 5 minutes even under room lighting. To leave it exposed for more than 5 minutes, cover
the image drum with black paper or the like to avoid direct light.
• You can change the timing of displaying the message "ORDER IMAGE DRUM". Set it in [ADMIN SETUP] - [OTHERS
SETUP] - [NEARLIFE SETUP] - [DRUM NEAR LIFE] from the operator panel. The value range is from 500 to 5,000 (in
increments of 500).
