8) Install the parts in reverse order by performing step 6) to step 4).
9) Perform the work according to the temperature inside the machine, which is checked at step 2).
A) If the temperature inside the machine is not less than 10 degrees Celsius, proceed to step 10).
B) If the temperature inside the machine is below 10 degrees Celsius, perform the work below.
Leave the front cover of the machine open for 15 minutes, close the front cover, and proceed to step 10).
[Caution]
- If the cleaning blade is brought into contact with the surface of the drum in the low-temperature state, the
surface temperature of the cleaning blade is lowered. Accordingly, the cleaning blade is hardened.
In this state, if the main power switch is turned ON and the idle rotation of the drum is performed, the toner
escapes from the cleaning blade.
Thus, in order to prevent hardening of the cleaning blade at low temperature, the surface temperature of the
drum is increased with the drum heater for 15 minutes, so that the surface temperature of the cleaning blade
is increased.
- The reason that the front cover is left open is to prevent the idle rotation of the drum even if the main power
switch is turned ON by accident.
10) Turn ON the main power switch.
11) Make a copy with test chart, and check whether there is no problem in the image.
