Description
The jam code "1F78" is occurring only after the punch dye is inserted. The jam code "1F78" is defined in the
service manual as a (time out) error avoidance jam.
Field Remedy
In this case, the casters on the professional punch and the integration unit were not set correctly resulting in
the peripherals not being level. After leveling out the peripherals through adjusting the casters, the jam code
was resolved.
Symptom

1F77 jam code : When punching : Solved by replacing communication cable (Pro Puncher-C1)

[Case in the field ]
Description
The tech replaced the punch controller and an intermittent jam with Code 1F77 comes up only when
punching. When it happens, the punch already took place but where the paper stops could vary.
Field Remedy
With this case, the problem was in the communication cable (Gate-plate) from the Pro-Puncher C1 to the
Integration Unit. Replacing the communication cable FC3-6653 resolved the jamming.
