Installing and Operating the Passport 2430 Multiservice Access Switch
To re-enable the diagnostic software, enter:
diags-on
The diagnostic testing now runs when you start the Passport 2430.

Turning the Power On and Off

The power switch is located on the back of the Passport 2430

Power Switch
To turn on the Passport 2430, press the power switch to the ON (1) position.
The logo on the front lights and the back panel LEDs will step through the
sequence described in "Verifying a Successful Installation" on page 4." If the
LEDs on the power supply do not light, or the front LED (see
4-2) and the Fail LED (see
switch to the OFF position. Wait 1 minute and then turn the power switch to the
ON position.
If the Passport 2430 does not turn on, check the power supply cable connections.
See "Connecting the External Power Supply" on page 1-24 for information. If the
Passport 2430 still does not power on, or the LEDs that indicate failure remain on,
contact the Nortel Networks Technical Solutions Center.
Note: When the front logo lights, there may be variation in the lighting or the
light may dim. This does not indicate a problem.
To turn off the Passport 2430, press the power switch to the OFF (0) position.
