4-15. Adjusting the Output Signal

The Calibrator provides several ways to change the settings for the output signal during
calibration. Since oscilloscope calibration requires many adjustments of the output signal,
the three available methods for changing these settings for oscilloscope calibration are
summarized below. These methods provide the means of jumping to a new value or
sweeping through a range of values.

4-16. Keying in a Value

The following example is for use in the Voltage mode. To key a specific value directly
into the Calibrator from its front panel:
1. Key in the value you want to enter, including the units and prefixes. For example, to
enter 120 mV, press NOMÅs. The Control Display shows:
120 mV

If you make an error, press d to clear the Control Display and return to the menu.
2. Press b to activate the value and move it to the Output Display.
Other settings in the display remains unaltered unless you key in an entry and
specify the units for that setting.
