RECEIVER / DRIER REPLACEMENT
WARNING
In the event of a leak, wear safety goggles. Escaping
refrigerant can cause severe injuries to eyes. In contact
with a flame, R-134a refrigerant gives a toxic gas.
1. Remove the left rear fender.
2. Remove the refrigerant from the A/C system.
NOTICE
Whenever the A/C system is opened to the atmosphere
or there has been a leak in the system, the receiver /

drier
must be changed.

3. Remove the tube line
from receiver / drier.
IMPORTANT
Never leave hose fittings, compressor fittings or
components uncapped while working on the A/C
system.

4. Remove the hose
from the receiver / drier.
5. Cap and plug the hoses and the receiver / drier
fittings with the proper A/C caps and plugs.

6. Remove the bolts

7. Remove the receiver / drier.
IMPORTANT
When replacing a receiver / drier in an A/C system 1
ounce (30cc) of PAG 100 oil must be added to the
system when recharging.
8. To install, reverse procedure. Torque fasteners to
specification.
TORQUE
Lower Condenser / Receiver-Drier Hose
12 ft-lb (16 Nm)
