To start the scan, touch Scan.
10. If you are scanning from the document glass, when prompted, to finish, touch Done, or to scan
another page, touch Add Page. You can also touch Cancel Job.
Note:
If you are scanning a document from the automatic document feeder, a prompt does not
appear.
11. To return to the Home screen, press the Home button.
Notes:
The printer must be connected to a network to retrieve a scan file remotely.
For details, see the Help in the Embedded Web Server.
Print, copy, and fax jobs can print while you are scanning original documents or downloading
files from the printer hard drive.

Scanning Workflows

The Workflow Scanning App enables you to scan documents on the printer to a range of file destinations
quickly and easily. There are several workflow options:
Distribution workflows enable you to scan documents to one or more file destinations. Use the
Embedded Web Server to create Distribution workflows. File destinations include an FTP site, a
website, and a network server.
Scan to Mailbox enables you to scan documents to mailboxes on the device. Documents can be
retrieved using the Embedded Web Server.
Scan to Home enables you to scan documents to a personal Home folder on your network.
Scan to Desktop enables you to scan documents to a folder on your computer.
Scan to a shared folder enables you to scan documents to a shared network location using SMB and
FTP transfer protocols.
Scan to USB enables you to scan documents to a connected USB Flash Drive.
You can configure a workflow with customized scan settings. When you use the workflow, you can
override the scan settings at the printer control panel.
