Changing the Page Layout
You can use Page Layout to place a defined number of pages on one or both sides of the paper.
To change the page layout:
1. At the printer control panel, press the H H o o m m e e button.
2. Touch C C o o p p y y .
3. Touch P P a a g g e e L L a a y y o o u u t t .
4. Select the required number of pages per side.
5. To change the Original Orientation, touch P P a a g g e e L L a a y y o o u u t t , then touch M M o o r r e e . Select P P o o r r t t r r a a i i t t or L L a a n n d d s s c c a a p p e e .
Note: The Original Orientation option is only available when the selected number of pages per slide is 2, 4,
or 8.
6. To change the Image Order, touch P P a a g g e e L L a a y y o o u u t t , then touch M M o o r r e e . Select one of the following options.
• R R i i g g h h t t t t h h e e n n D D o o w w n n : This option prints the images across the page, row by row.
• D D o o w w n n t t h h e e n n R R i i g g h h t t : This option prints the images down the page, column by column.
Note: The Image Order option is only available when the selected number of pages per slide is 4 or 8.
7. Touch O O K K .
Adjusting Contrast Settings
You can adjust the variation between light and dark areas of your copy using the Contrast feature. You can reduce
the sensitivity of the printer to variations in light background colors using Auto Background Suppression.
To adjust the Auto Background Suppression and Contrast:
1. At the printer control panel, press the H H o o m m e e button.
2. Touch C C o o p p y y .
3. Touch I I m m a a g g e e E E n n h h a a n n c c e e m m e e n n t t .
4. To enable Auto Background Suppression, touch the A A u u t t o o B B a a c c k k g g r r o o u u n n d d S S u u p p p p r r e e s s s s i i o o n n toggle button.
5. To enable Auto Contrast, touch the A A u u t t o o C C o o n n t t r r a a s s t t toggle button.
6. To adjust the Contrast manually, ensure that the Auto Contrast toggle button is off, then move the slider to
increase or decrease the contrast.
7. Touch O O K K .
