2. To expand the length or width paper guide, release the guide lock, then slide out the length or width
paper guide until it stops.
3. Load the custom-size paper in the tray.
4. To engage the fine-adjustment block, release the guide lock, then slide in the length or width paper
guide. The paper guides move in increments of 1 mm (0.04 in.).
5. Adjust the length and width paper guides until they touch the edges of the paper.

Loading Paper in Trays 3 and 4

Trays 3 and 4 are high-capacity paper trays. They are set as dedicated trays and hold only A4-size (210 x
297 mm) or Letter-size (8.5 x 11 in.) paper. Tray 3 holds 1600 sheets. Tray 4 holds 2000 sheets.
The control panel displays a warning message when the paper in the tray is in short supply, or when a
tray is empty.
To change the paper size, refer to Adjusting the Paper Guides in Trays 3 and 4 on page 29.
