Accounting
User Role
Select a user role for the user.
User: No special privileges are given to the user.
System Administrator: This user has most system administrator privileges except
they cannot change the administrator passcode.
Account Administrator: This user can view, register, delete, and change user account
information; however, they cannot change passcodes. This user may also print an
auditron report for each user.
Account Limit
For a specific account, assign a maximum number of pages that can be used for copying
and printing. Each account can be set for 1-9,999,999 pages in 1 sheet increments.
Feature Access
Set the type of access that the account user will be allowed to use. Selections include
copy, scan, and print.
Create/view/edit a user account
Note
The following procedure is presented using the Accounting menu screens, but this same
process is also performed using the Authentication/Security Settings menu screens.
1. Login as administrator.
2. Access the Tools tab on the UI.
3. Select Accounting.
4. Select Create/View User Accounts.
5. From the Create/View User Accounts screen, perform one of the following to select
a user account:
To create a new account, select an Available account (one that is not in use), or
To edit a previously created account, select the desired one from the displayed
list.
6. Select the Create/Delete button.
If creating a new account, use the numeric keypad, enter a four-digit number from
0001 to 1000, which corresponds to an Available account. The entered number
displays in the Go To field. Select the Create/Delete button; the User ID screen is
displayed.
If editing a previously created account, continue to the next step.
7. Select Ok.
8. Using the keypad, enter a User ID of up to 32 characters and select Save.
The Account Create/Delete screen is displayed.
9. Select the User Name button.
