CARBURETOR REMOVAL/
INSTALLATION
DUAL/DUAL SILENT/CYCLONE/OIL
BATH/SEMI DRY TYPE AIR CLEANER:
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.You
can be burned or seriously injured when handling
fuel.
Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.
Remove the air cleaner (page 6-4).
Set a commercially available tube clip to the fuel tube.
Disconnect the fuel tube from the carburetor.
Remove the drain screw of the carburetor to drain
completely.

CARBURETOR INSULATOR
INSTALLATION:
Before installing, clean the passage
thoroughly with compressed air.
Install the carburetor insulator [1] with the
vent groove facing toward the carburetor.
After installing, clamp the high-tension
cord [2] to the carburetor insulator.

• Keep heat, sparks, and flame away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.

GOVERNOR ROD/THROTTLE RETURN SPRING
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION:
Pull the carburetor assembly to a point where the
groove of the throttle arm lines up with the governor
rod [1], and then lift the governor rod out of the hole
of the throttle arm and unhook the throttle return
spring [2].
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
