Rocker arms - Valve clearance set (SL 204)

u Rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation with turning device to index 1.

1 Rocker arm position in ignition TDC
u Check if scavenging TDC is present on A1. If not, turn the crankshaft another 360°.
u Verify scavenging position again.
u Rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation with turning device to index 2.
u Set the valve clearance for cylinders A7, A8 and B2, B4.
u Rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation with turning device to the index 4.
u Set the valve clearance for cylinders A3, A5 and B6, B8.
u Rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation with turning device until index 2 is reached the second
time (see 2+360° in the table).
u Set the valve clearance for cylinders A1, A2 and B5, B7.
u Rotate crankshaft in direction of rotation with turning device until index 4 is reached the second
time (see 4+360° in the table).
u Set the valve clearance for cylinders A4, A6 and B1, B3.
