Modules
Enables or disables the module's ability to understand the Internet Group
Management Protocol (IGMP) and, specifically, to listen for and examine
IGMP packets. This activity determines whether IP multicast group
members exist downstream from routing interfaces and therefore
whether the module should forward IP multicast traffic.
Valid Minimum Abbreviation
ip m i s
Important Considerations
Your selection applies to all interfaces on the module.
3Com recommends that you keep IGMP snooping enabled at all
times. It adds little processing overhead to the module and enhances
the efficiency of your network if IP multicast traffic is present.
