INTRODUCTION

The optional network expansion kit (MX-NB11) enables the machine to be used as a network printer and a network
scanner.
• This manual refers to the digital multifunctional system MX-B201/MX-B201D as "the machine".
Note
• This manual only explains features that can be used when the optional network expansion kit is installed. For
information on loading paper, replacing toner cartridges, clearing paper misfeeds, handling peripheral devices,
and other copier-related information, please refer to your operation guide for the machine.
• The machine's default settings and default settings for the printer function can be changed using the user
programs. For more information, see the operation guide for the machine.
• The explanations in this manual assume that the person who will install the product and the users of the
product have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows or Mac OS.
• For information on the operating system, please refer to your operating system manual or the online Help function.
• The explanations of screens and procedures in this manual are for Windows Vista
Mac OS X v10.4 in Macintosh environments. The screens may vary in other versions of the operating systems.
• This manual refers to the Reversing Single Pass Feeder as the "RSPF".
• Where "XX-XXXX" appears in this manual, please substitute the name of your model.
• The PS3 expansion kit (MX-PK10) mentioned in this manual is an option.
• The explanations in this manual are based on the North American version of the software. Versions for other
countries and regions may vary slightly from the North American version.
To use the machine as a PS printer, the PS3 expansion kit (MX-PK10) must be installed. After installing the
expansion kit, the product key (password) must be entered in "Product Key Setting" in the Web page (this is only
required once). Please consult your dealer for the product key to be entered.
