2.1.1 Hood
1 - Hood
• A second person is needed
during removal and instal‐
lation to support and hold
the hood.
❑ Removing
– Remove the gas-filled
strut
⇒ Item 5 (page 27)
from the hood
⇒ "2.1.5 Gas-Filled
Strut", page 30 .
– Remove nuts -4- on up‐
per hood hinge.
– Remove the hood.
❑ Installation: in reverse
order.
❑ Adjusting:
– Center the hood be‐
tween the fenders.
– Adjust the height of the
hood over the lower part
of the hood lock.
– Adjust the hood to the
fenders using the stop
buffers ⇒ page 10 .
