Installing the Fan

To remove a fan from a Junos Space appliance, do the following:
(Optional) Place the antistatic bag or antistatic mat on a flat, stable surface.
1.
(Optional) Attach an ESD grounding strap to your bare wrist, and connect the strap
2.
to an external ESD point.
Press the latch at the side of the fan, as shown
3.
fan.

Pull the fan module out of the chassis.
4.
(Optional) Place the fan module in the antistatic bag or on the antistatic mat placed
5.
on a flat, stable surface.
To install a fan in a Junos Space appliance, do the following:
(Optional) Attach an electrostatic discharge (ESD) grounding strap to your bare wrist,
1.
and connect the strap to an external ESD point.
Remove the replacement fan module from its antistatic bag.
2.
Insert the replacement fan into the slot for the fan module, as shown in
3.
Figure 23 on page
100, until the latch locks and you hear a clicking sound.
