4.2.8.2 Simulation of the Input
With simulation of the input you can check the adaptation of the measured value to the desired
process variable, monitoring of your preset process limits, the electrical damping and the failure
behavior. Proceed as follows to do this:
• Select simulation of the input
Set the target mode to AUTO
•
Select the simulation mode "released"
•
Enter the desired input value, the quality and the status
•
• Transfer the settings from the program to the transducer.
You can observe the behavior of the output in SIMATIC PDM for example.
You have to switch off the simulation afterwards to return to normal operation.
4.2.9 Status and Error Messages
Linking ULTRAMAT / OXYMAT / CALOMAT with a PC software such as SIMATIC PDM allows error
diagnosis.
Current errors and maintenance requirements can be evaluated with SIMATIC PDM, in the 'View,
Instrument State' menu. These messages are displayed in plain text which simplifies the appropriate
action for eliminating the faults.
4.2.10 Resetting
4.2.10.1 Resetting to the As-delivered State
If the ULTRAMAT / OXYMAT / CALOMAT is so badly adjusted that it is no longer able to perform its
measuring task, you can restore the as-delivered state with this function. This function resets all
parameters to their factory setting.
Resetting is indicated by the diagnostic message "Cold start executed". The status "Unsure, Initial
value, Value constant" is output if no measured value result is available yet.
4.2.10.2 Resetting the PROFIBUS Address to 126
If no other instrument in your system has the preset address 126, you can add your
ULTRAMAT/OXYMAT/CALOMAT to the PROFIBUS line during operation of the automation or
control system. Then you have to change the address of the newly integrated instrument to a
different value.
If you remove an ULTRAMAT/OXYMAT/CALOMAT from the PROFIBUS line, you should reset its
address to 126 with this function so that you can re-integrate it in this or another system when
necessary.
