4.2.6 Warning and Alarm Limits
The function blocks of the analog input have upper and lower warning and alarm limits for the output.
To avoid unstable display of the warnings and alarms, you can specify a hysteresis.
Set the following parameters according to the process conditions in the analog input function blocks:
Hysteresis limit value
Upper warning limit
Upper alarm limit
Lower warning limit
Lower alarm limit
On exceeding the limits, the output is accompanied by a status value which you can evaluate in your
application program. The following figure shows an overview of the individual limit values.
