Navigate to the folder where you saved the fi rmware upgrade fi le. Select the

N Valid fi rmware fi les must have the fi le extension .S19. Any other fi le extension
is not a fi rmware upgrade.
N The original factory-installed fi rmware is permanently available on the matrix
switcher. If the attempted fi rmware upload fails for any reason, the switcher
reverts to the factory-installed fi rmware.

Click the Open button. The program presents a fi nal opportunity for you to
abort the fi rmware load. Click the OK button.

The program uploads the fi rmware. The switcher then automatically
performs a system reset to activate the new fi rmware. The Matrix Switcher
Control Program exits.
You can create customized HTML pages for the switcher to display. The HTML
Files List window (fi gure 5-7) provides a way to view the contents of the switcher's
fi le system and upload custom HTML pages to the switcher.

Upload HTML pages as follows:
N The fi les listed in fi gure 5-7 are shown for example only and may not be present
on your switcher.
N The HTML Files List window is for inserting your own HTML pages. This is
not the window to replace the fi rmware that controls all switcher operation. See
Update fi rmware in this chapter to replace the fi rmware.
N The following characters are invalid in fi le names:
{space} + ~ , @ = ' [ ] { } < > ' " ; : | \ and ?.

Connect the PC to the matrix switcher via one of the switcher's RS-232 ports
or the Ethernet port.

Start the Matrix Switcher Control Program and connect to the MPX switcher.

Click on Tools > HTML File Manager.

Click on the Pick File(s) to Load to Server button. An open fi le window appears.
