4.36 TFT FL (Model 15.0 Toshiba)

CAUTION: When you replace the fluorescent lamp, wear finger covers or gloves to
avoid contaminating or damaging the LCD panel. Be careful not to let dust or other
foreign matter into the module.

Removing the TFT FL (Model 15.0 Toshiba)

To remove the TFT FL (Model 15.0 Toshiba), follow the steps below and refer to figures
4-140 to 4-141.
1. Carefully, turn the LCD module upside down on a flat surface. To avoid damaging
the surface of the LCD module, lay it on a protective, dust-free sheet such as a soft,
clean cloth.
2. Remove the following tape and insulation.
• One strip of tape securing the FL cable
• Two strips of tape securing the frame (FL side)
• Two strips of tape securing frame on the side opposite the Y-TAB (at the center
on the underside)
• One strip of double-sided tape securing the X insulation sheet
• One Y-insulation sheet
NOTE: 1. Do not damage the X-TAB, Y-TAB and FPC.
2. Do not lift up the tape securing the X-insulation sheet to the top frame.
3. The X-insulation sheet and Y-insulation sheet will be reused, so do not
damage them.
3. Remove six screws securing the left and right sides, and one screw securing the PCB.
4. Remove the FPC from the connector.
5. Pull the FPC out of the notch on the frame.
NOTE: 1. Use a No. 0 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws.
2. Do not damage the Y-TAB when you pull the FPC out of the notch on the
frame.
