SCANNER LAYOUT

The diagram shows the dimensions of the scanner.
A 600 dpi CIS (contact image sensor) is used in this machine.
There are ten original size sensors. The original set sensor also takes part in
original size detection.
The white platen plate is used for auto shading (to get the standard white level
for image processing).
The original registration sensor detects jams in the original feed path, and
detects the leading edge of the original, which makes the CIS (Contact Image
Sensor) start to scan the original.
The original exit sensor detects jams in the original feed path, and detects the
trailing edge of the original at the rear original exit (for straight-through feed).
