Using Media That Wrinkles Easily/Does Not Move Smoothly

The platen uses suction to grip the media and keep it stable. The suction force can be adjusted corresponding to
the nature and condition of the media.
Procedure
1.
Press [MENU].
2.
Press [▼] several times to display the screen shown below.

• Depending on the software RIP you are using, you can also make this setting in the software RIP. When you have made the
setting in the software RIP, the machine's setting is ignored.

1. Optimizing the Output Quality
AUTO
When the media is flimsy and cannot move smoothly, decreasing this value (reducing the
suction force) may correct the problem.
The suction force is automatically adjusted to the optimal level for the media width
