3.11 Hydraulic drive calibration and operation

3.11.1 Preparing to calibrate a meter

Calibrate meter when:
• Changing the gate setting
• Changing the product
• Changing the meter roll
Calibrate each meter even if all gates have the same setting.
Procedure
Connect the machine hitch to a tractor.
1.
Put the tractor hydraulic remote in the neutral position.
2.
Connect the machine hydraulic lines to the tractor.
3.
Connect the machine terminal harness to the terminal harness.
4.
Start the tractor.
5.
Put the transmission in park and apply the park brake.
6.
Turn on the terminal.
7.
Make sure the terminal and the machine electronic control unit (ECU) connect.
Check the meter gate for correct connection to the meter roll.
8.
If necessary, make corrections.
Check the bin for product.
9.
The bin must be a minimum of 25 percent
full.
Adjust the meter gate (1) for the correct

application rate.
The measuring rule (2) shows inches and
parts of an inch.
Use the following table to set the meter gate.
