3.4 Ground drive
On air carts equipped with ground drive a
magnetic clutch disengages the drive. The
magnetic clutch uses electrical power to hold the
engaged position. The clutch is turned on and off
by the control system either automatically when
the drill is raised and lowered, or manually by
pressing a manual master work switch on the
virtual terminal in the tractor cab. The clutch
requires no service.
When roading long distances, remove the drive
chain at the drive wheel. This will extend the life of
the chain and the sprocket.
