4. Maintenance

4.3 Gear box maintenance

WARNING: Park the machine on a solid, level surface. Lower and stop the machine, set the park brake,
turn off the tractor engine and take the key with you before doing any maintenance on the machine.
The gearbox (1) is filled at the factory and requires no maintenance.
Service is required only if leaks become visible.
If a leak becomes visible, repair the leak and fill the gearbox half full with 85W-90 oil.
The driveline components are protected by a shear pin (2) on the gearbox coupler. If the shear pin fails,
determine the reason for the failure and install a new shear pin. See the information for replacing the shear
pin.

4.3.1 Replacing the gearbox coupler shear pin

Procedure
Park the machine on a solid, level surface.
1.
Stop the tractor engine, apply the park brake, and take the key with you.
2.
Loosen the capscrew (1) on the locking tab
3.
and rotate the tab out of the machined
groove in the shear pin (2).
Remove any broken shear pin pieces and line
4.
up the holes in the coupler with the hole in
the shaft.
Install a new shear pin.
5.
Rotate the lock tab into the machined
6.
groove.
Tighten the capscrew on the locking tab.
