2. Test the diode as follows:
Use a multimeter to check for voltage drop across the diode terminals (diode
test setting). Contact the multimeter red (+) lead to diode terminal A and the
black (−) lead to diode terminal B. A reading of less than 0.7 volts should be
displayed on the multimeter.
OR
Use the following table and a multimeter (ohms setting) to measure the
resistance across the diode terminals.

3. Replace the diode if necessary.
