Yes
Make a local copy.
Is the printed copy correct?
Yes
Perform a receiving test with the
reference fax unit.
Is the received copy correct?

Is a poor copy printed when
receiving from a specific
transmitter?
Yes
The transmitting machine may be
defective.

Try "CLEAN CARTRIDGE" by Function "7', "6".
Check the Print Cartridge.(Replace the Print Cartridge or clean the contacts)
Check the paper quality.(Try different paper)
Check the voltage output at CN50 on PENC PCB.
Check the Flat Cable and contacts on the Carriage.
Replace the PENC PCB.

(CN4 on the CIS and
CN12 on the SC PCB)

2. Check CN25,26 on the NCU PCB.
