PREPARING THE DOCUMENT FOR TRANSMISSION

Preparing the document represents the first step in any transmission transaction. Before sending
a document, proceed as described below.
First of all, check that the document is not crumpled, does not have clips or a glossy surface, etc.
In these cases, take the precautions indicated in the previous section.
Insert the document face down in the document feed slot and regulate the paper guides against
its left and right edges. The document must be placed in the slot without forcing it; it will be fed
automatically when transmission begins.
The message "DOCUMENT INSERTED" will appear on the display.
