AUDIBLE AND VISUAL SIGNALS
The facsimile machine emits the following types of audible and visual signals:
-
brief (1 second)
indicates that the transaction has been concluded successfully
-
long (3 seconds)/the ERROR LED lights up
indicates that the transaction was concluded unsuccessfully. Press LINE STATUS and
STOP at the same time, and check the type of error on the corresponding report (last
transmission/reception)
-
blinking (continually)
the handset is off the hook. Hang up and press STOP
-
blinking (in intervals)
the HOOK/TALK function has been activated
DISPLAY MESSAGES
The table below shows a list of the messages that may appear on the display, together with their
meaning and the action to be taken to eliminate the problem.

MEANING
The
documents
received
stored in the memory because there was
an
error
preventing
them
printed immediately.
There is no ink in the cartridge.
There is no paper left.
Some of the nozzles on the print head are
not working and this is having a negative
effect on the print quality.
There is no document in the ADF, it is
jammed or is over 2 metres long.
A remote diagnostic session is underway.
