Adapting the terminal strip
6.4 Analog inputs
Adapting the characteristic of the analog input
You must define your own characteristic if none of the default types match your particular
application.
Example
The inverter should convert a 6 mA ... 12 mA signal into the value range -100% ... 100% via
analog input 0. The wire break monitoring of the inverter should respond when 6 mA is fallen
below.
Precondition
You have set analog input 0 as a current input ("I") via the DIP switch on the
Control Unit.
Procedure
Proceed as follows to set the analog input as a current input with monitoring:
You have adapted the characteristic of the analog input to match the example.
100
1. Go online.
2. Select the "Analog inputs" tab on the
"Inputs/outputs" screen form in the inverter.
3. Set analog input 0 to "Unipolar current input
monitored (+4 mA ... +20 mA)".
4. Open the "Scaling" window of analog input 0.
5. Set the lower percentage value (y1) to -100% and
the upper value (y2) to 100%.
6. Set the lower current value (x1) to 6 mA and the
upper value (x2) to 12 mA.
1. Go into the "PARAMS" menu.
2. Select "EXPERT" as a parameter filter.
3. Set p7056[0] = 3
This defines analog input 0 as a current input with
wire-break monitoring.
4. Set p0757[0] = 6.0 (x1)
5. Set p0758[0] = -100.0 (y1)
6. Set p0759[0] = 12.0 (x2)
7. Set p0760[0] = 100.0 (y2)
