IP Address
PATH: Network menu > IP Address
Select the box beside Type, and select the type of network configuration between Manual and DHCP.
Selecting Manual from the Type allows set up of LAN parameters manually.
Select the number to change and use the Up and Down arrows to increase or decrease. Select the keyboard symbol
to change the settings. The factory default LAN settings are:
IP Address:
192.168.1.129
Gateway:
192.168.1.254
Subnet Mask:
255.255.255.0
NOTE:
Obtain the appropriate IP Address, Gateway and Subnet Mask from the network administrator.
Select the box beside DNS Server and set the IP address of the DNS server by using the Up and Down arrow. Select
the keyboard symbol
Select the box beside Remote Port and set the port number by using the Up and Down arrow. Select the keyboard
symbol
to change the settings. The factory default port setting is 8200.
Select Use UPnP to toggle between On and Off. When On, port forwarding from the NAT (Network Address Translation)
device (router) to the Recorder will be enabled automatically via UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) service.
NOTE: For the UPnP service to work, the NAT device should support the UPnP Port Forwarding function and
the function should be set to enabled.
Port settings cannot be saved when Use UPnP is On.
Select the Status box to display the port numbers forwarded from the NAT device via UPnP service.
Select the box beside Remote Callback and set the port number by using the Up and Down arrow. Select the keyboard
symbol
to change the settings. The factory default port setting is 8201.
NOTE: Obtain the appropriate Port Numbers for each RsM related program (Port and Callback) from the network
administrator.
NOTE: The system restarts automatically after changing the port settings.
Do NOT use the same port number for two different programs; otherwise, the Recorder cannot be
connected with the PC running RsM.
CAUTION: When changing the port settings, change the port settings on the PC running RsM as
well. Refer to the RsM manual for details.
