Select Enter Recipient Info from the Find Recipient list.

Enter 123-456-7890 as the Fax Number.

Enter some text in the subject and comments fields and click Send Fax .

Checking Test Results

After sending the test fax:
1.
Click Status & Logs > Fax Status. You should see sending on one of the channels and receiving on another
channel.
2.
Click Inbound Fax Log. Inbound Fax Log indicates if the email was sent successfully.
3.
Click Details for the fax to view a popup showing where FaxFinder sent the fax.
4.
Check the Admin email inbox or the default destination you entered to see if the test fax was delivered.

Configuring Fax Provider

The device supports two fax provider services, SIP/T.38 and etherFAX.
Note:
To use SIP/T.38 or etherFAX with analog FaxFinder (FFx40) models, you need to purchase channels. You
cannot select a provider if you don't have channels.
To configure the fax provider:
1.
Go to Fax Configuration > Fax Provider > Fax Provider Configuration.
2.
Select the fax provider services from the drop-down list: Choose from SIP/T.38 and etherFAX. The default
is SIP/T.38.

Refer to the appropriate section based on your selection:

When you change the provider, click Save. The device immediately reboots.
Note:
The system aborts all the active inbound and outbound faxes (sending, receiving, pending and
approval pending) when you change the fax provider.

Configuring etherFAX

Before performing these steps, you must create an etherFAX account at http://etherfax.net/contact.
1.
Navigate to Fax Provider > Fax Provider Configuration.
2.
Select etherFAX from the Provider drop-down menu.
3.
Enter your etherFAX account information in the available fields. See etherFAX Parameters for details.
4.
To test your connection, click Test Service Connectivity . The system displays a message about success or
failure.
5.
After entering the account information, click Save. The device will immediately reboot.
Note:
To restore factory settings, click the Defaults button in the upper right of the screen. The fax
provider resets to SIP/T.38. Factory defaults may not work with your network.
