If FaxFinder is already connected to a network, the client software can auto-discover the IP address. You can also use the console port and a terminal program to learn its IP address; enter “ifconfig eth0” in the terminal program.

    Modem The internal modem number, which is based on the FaxFinder model (1-2 for the FF240, 1-4 for the FF440 and 1-8 for the FF840). Fax ID This value appears in the fax page header. Typically, it is the fax number or the company name, so that recipients can identify each page with the sender’s name or number.

This setting should match the setting of the analog line/equipment connected to this port.
