3 Data Exchange with the CPU Unit
The following device variables for CJ-series Unit are used to reference individual information.
Name of device variables
for CJ-series Unit
*_UnitErr
*_SlaveFuncErr
*_MemErr
*_EscErr
3 - 10
Type
R/W
Name
BOOL
R
Unit
TRUE:
Error
Displays EtherCAT Slave Unit operating errors.
*_UnitErr (Unit Error) changes to TRUE if any bit from
01 to 15 in *_Unit1Sta (Unit Status 1) is TRUE (OR
information of bits 01 to 15).
FALSE:
Indicates that the error did not occur. Or, changes to
FALSE when the error is cleared.
Default: FALSE
BOOL
R
Slave
TRUE:
Function
Indicates that at least one slave error occurred. Refer
Error
to *_Slav1Sta (Slave Status 1).
The slave errors are as follows:
• *_AlStatusErr (Slave AL Status Error)
• *_SiiVerifyErr (SII Unit Verification Error)
• *_VerificationErr (Verification Error)
• *_MailboxSettingErr (Mailbox Setting Error)
• *_IOCommErr (I/O Communication Error)
• *_InvadlidReqState (Illegal State Transition Request
• *_IORefErr (I/O Refresh Error)
FALSE:
Indicates that none of the above errors occurred or
changes to FALSE when all of above errors are
cleared.
Default: FALSE
This bit cannot be changed to FALSE unless the error
is recovered from the EtherCAT master except for
observation errors.
BOOL
R
Unit
TRUE:
Memory
Indicates an error in internal memory where the error
Error
log or I/O communication area data is stored. The error
occurs when the Unit starts up or when the error log is
written.
FALSE:
Indicates that the error did not occur. Once this error
occurs, the bit will remain TRUE and will not return to
FALSE.
Default: FALSE
BOOL
R
ESC
TRUE:
Error
Indicates an error in ESC.
FALSE:
Indicates that the error has not occurred. Once this
error occurs, the bit will remain TRUE and will not
return to FALSE.
Default: FALSE
